Arthur Allen is a fifth-generation lake fisherman with his son Matthew following hot on his heels. His family has fished a collection of species on the Gippsland Lakes for over 150 years now. Arthur delivers his catch the Co Op daily to ensure the customer is buying their seafood as fresh as they can get.
When asked about the industry and his personal approach to a more feasible future, Arthur answers “Well for a start, we are very selective on our gear. Over the years we have been at the forefront of all management changes to ensure the most viable approach possible.”
