You name it and Stephen Mitchelson has done it. From Lake Fishing, hard-lining to Purse and Beach Seining. As a son of local legend Harry Mitchelson, Stephen has grown up a fisherman and been on boats all his life. As skipper of the Hewardia Stephen says they are currently fishing for octopus and crabs. In his twenty years at sea Stephen says “It’s really important to keep an eye on your quantities. We are always watching the markets and making sure we don’t catch too much. Rather than work on how much we can catch, we are more so focused on looking after the fish we have on board”.
